Feather Flyers decoys

FLIPPERS™

Here’s an idea that is totally different and extremely effective!

After hunting, observing and studying waterfowl for many years, I have become very familiar with their habit of whiffling or maple leafing. This action is their way of losing altitude in a hurry and appears to be a sign of excitement. You often see this activity when birds are returning to their roost or joining a group of birds already feeding on the ground.

The Feather Flyers™ windvane is a breakthrough product which realistically duplicates the distinctive whiffling action of waterfowl. I have developed and studied performing prototypes in my own back yard and in the field. They not only passed the “test of time,” but worked flawlessly in zero to hurricane force winds through all four seasons and more! Even with no wind Feather Flyers windvanes are perfectly balanced; they always upright themselves and look natural.

My original intent and focus was for this product to be used as a windvane in the ornamental garden art market. But, during the development of the Feather Flyers windvanes I realized that replicas of certain species would be awesome waterfowl hunting tools creating more success in the field. After using and testing them on numerous hunts, I found that birds are definitely attracted to them! FLIPPERS are deadly effective! They work in conjunction with any or all manufactured decoy brands of “like species.” Try FLIPPERS and see for yourself…you will be blown away! Patents are pending.

whiffling

Pronunciation: hwi´fəl•ing
Function: intransitive verb
Definition: 1. Descending rapidly in preparation to land. Motions include fast side-slipping, wings vertical to earth, twisting side to side. This behavior is typically seen when birds, especially geese, are determined to land immediately. 2. The motion of a Feather Flyer™ , designed to mimic similar motion of live birds.

Hunter's experiences:

Like most snow goose hunters, I have had my share of awe inspiring hunts while chasing what many consider the worlds wariest waterfowl(with plenty of humbling experiences mixed in along the way).

The first time I hunted over Feather Flyers™ in my spread I was floored, not only did they move with the slightest breeze, they perfectly mimicked the kamikaze-like flight characteristics of Ross' geese dive bombing a live flock of birds on the ground. In over 20 years of hunting snows I have never used a decoy that consistently pulled geese from long distances and FINISHED them in the decoys. We had juvys, adults and large flocks all finish feet down in the decoys. In a 4.5 day period that included days with bright sunshine and warm temps our group shot more snows than ever before. To say I'm sold is an understatement!
